MPSC cancels Drug Inspector recruitment after paper leak allegations, fresh exam to be held soon

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has cancelled recruitment for Drug Inspector, Group-B posts after a preliminary inquiry into allegations of question paper malpractice in the March 22, 2026 screening examination. Complaints received in July alleged that examination material had reached candidates before the test. Mumbai Police conducted a preliminary inquiry after an MPSC complaint. The commission found prima facie evidence involving one candidate. A fresh examination will be held without requiring new applications or fees.
