Regional transport offices issued notices to 331 drivers for failing Marathi knowledge. This statewide drive checked 1,392 drivers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region on Monday. Across Maharashtra, 192 drivers received notices after checking 3,415 vehicles. In five days, 4,729 notices were issued statewide for this requirement. The government is acting against drivers not meeting the Marathi language rule.
