Authorities destroyed over 36 tonnes of banned Thai Mangur fish in Nagpur. This action followed information about illegal farming and sale of the prohibited species. The Fisheries Department used Google mapping and dummy customers to identify the illegal ponds. Over 51 tonnes of Thai Mangur have been destroyed in the region recently. The cultivation of this fish is banned due to environmental and health concerns.
