Foreign ship sinks near Paradip, crew in lifeboats

A Panama-flagged cargo vessel carrying iron ore fines sank off the Odisha coast on Saturday. The vessel had twenty-four foreign crew members aboard when it went down. Indian Coast Guard and Navy launched a large-scale search and rescue operation for survivors. Officials have rescued two crew members from life rafts so far. Rough sea conditions are posing challenges to the ongoing rescue efforts.
