Indian Railways runs first double-stack long-haul container train from JNPT

Indian Railways launched its first double-stack long-haul container train from JNPT. This train carried 360 TEUs over 422 kilometers to Vadodara division. The operation aims to improve container evacuation from JNPT significantly. It will reduce train movements and ease pressure on terminal infrastructure. This move also supports greener freight movement and lowers transportation costs.
