Manhattan’s Broadway medians are being replanted with native Northeast species under a long-term project by the Broadway Mall Association. The Great Green Way covers five miles of Broadway and aims to connect 83 green malls into a corridor that can support birds, bees and other wildlife. Twelve malls have been restored so far, with more planting planned through 2026.
