French train maker Alstom is seeking a follow-on order for 200 electric freight locomotives from Indian Railways for its Madhepura plant in Bihar. The company is nearing completion of its existing 800-locomotive contract, with deliveries due by March 2028, and is discussing additional orders and greater localisation of components.
