E coli in water coolers: CAG study worries train passengers

A CAG report revealed serious sanitation lapses at many Indian railway stations nationwide. Eight stations had E coli bacteria found in their drinking water coolers. Rail officials stated immediate corrective actions will be taken to improve hygiene. New filtration systems and regular water testing will be implemented across locations. Passengers continue to express concerns about the quality of water and food.
