Bharatanatyam virtuoso Sudharani Raghupathy has been awarded the Akademi Ratna Sadasyata by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan. This award celebrates her extraordinary lifetime achievements in the performing arts. In addition to founding the prestigious Shree Bharatalaya institute in 1970, Sudharani is also a recipient of the Padma Shri and Kalaimamani honors.
