Over the past decade, India’s engineering services exports have skyrocketed, registering a remarkable compound annual growth rate of 22.8 percent. Despite this impressive growth, the sector currently suffers from a lack of a robust regulatory framework. Niti Aayog has proposed the establishment of a central statutory framework specifically for construction and infrastructure engineers, as well as the inclusion of architects and engineers as allied professionals in this initiative.
