Air India is sending its legacy B787-8 aircraft for retrofitting to Boeing’s facility in Shanghai. This move aims to expedite the revamp of the airline’s wide-body fleet. Currently, three Dreamliners have completed their retrofits, and two are undergoing work. The airline plans to retrofit sixteen Boeing 787-8 aircraft in the year 2027. Air India Group expects to induct over one hundred new planes within the next two years.
