Bengaluru set for 80th Independence Day celebrations; 1,360 participants, 8,000 visitors expected

Bengaluru will host its 80th State-level Independence Day celebrations on August 15. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will hoist the national flag and address attendees at 9am. The ceremony will feature the complete national song Vande Mataram for the first time. Around 8,000 visitors and 1,360 participants are expected at the event. Over 2,000 police personnel will ensure security and manage traffic flow.
