A Gwalior royal scion, Hanumat Singh Rajawat, died by suicide early Thursday. He was a 68-year-old descendant of the Bhitarwar Garhi rulers. Rajawat had been battling a prolonged illness and was bedridden for two months. Family members stated he had become mentally distressed and wished to end his life. He shot himself with his licensed rifle at his Ekta Colony residence.
