Vegetable oil imports decline 7% YoY in July 2026 as crude oil share jumps to 96%: SEA

India’s edible oil imports decreased by eight percent in July compared to last year. Vegetable oil imports also saw a seven percent decline during the same period. Over nine months, vegetable oil imports rose, while edible oil imports increased by five percent. The import basket saw refined oil share drop to four percent from fourteen percent. Crude oil imports consequently increased to ninety-six percent from eighty-six percent.
