India has installed over 67,000 electric vehicle chargers nationwide. The FAME India Phase-II scheme supported 16.72 lakh electric vehicle sales. Over 5,000 electric buses have been deployed under the FAME-II scheme. Other government initiatives have also boosted electric vehicle sales significantly. Reduced GST and green license plates further encourage electric vehicle adoption.
