‘Shock and disbelief’: Arkansas football player discovers ‘venomous snake’ hiding inside his helmet during practice

An Arkansas high school football player spent nearly an hour practicing with a venomous cottonmouth hidden inside his helmet. He noticed movement and alerted his coach, leading staff to discover the roughly two-foot-long snake under the padding. Animal Services safely removed it and relocated it to a wooded area. The player was unharmed and continued practice with a new helmet.
