Andreessen Horowitz is launching the Horowitz Andreessen Academy, a tuition-free, one-year programme in San Francisco designed as an alternative to conventional college education. Starting in September 2027 with about 50 students, the unaccredited academy will focus on AI, entrepreneurship and real-world projects rather than traditional tests and homework. Students will receive computing credits, travel funding and industry exposure through partner companies. The programme may expand into a paid two-year model in 2028, pending regulatory approval.
