Six-year-old Chinese speedcuber Lian Yunzhi has twice broken the women’s 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube average world record within days. She first posted a 4.52-second average in Wuhan before improving to 4.27 seconds in Guangzhou, where her fastest individual solve was 4.02 seconds. Lian began speedcubing at four and now trains for two to three hours daily, mastering more than 1,300 formulas. Supported by her family and experienced coaches, she has rapidly risen through official WCA competitions.
