India’s state-owned refiners have raised domestic LPG production to around 44,000 tonnes a day as festive-season demand rises and renewed conflict in the Persian Gulf disrupts contracted supplies. Production is nearly 20% higher than the August average, while refiners are also exploring increased US LPG purchases to diversify supplies. The US has already emerged as India’s largest LPG supplier, with its share of imports rising above 20% from 6% last year.
