Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) will launch it s Tamil general entertainment channel, Sony Vizha, on October 19 at 8pm. The launch would mark the company’s entry into Tamil entertainment. The channel aims to celebrate Tamil Nadu’s contemporary culture, tradition and aspirations by shocasing programs rooted in local identity. Sony Vizha will launch two flagship properties — Celebrity MasterChef Tamil and Tamil Idol — adapting international entertainment formats for Tamil viewers.
