Sahil Wakode, a second-year BTech student, tragically died by suicide on the IIT-Bombay campus. Following his death, his father, Ravindra, announced a hunger strike if officials involved are not arrested. IIT-Bombay formed a 10-member committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding Wakode’s death and put Prof Suryanarayana Doolla on leave. Faculty bodies supported their IIT-B counterparts, while students expressed their demands and concerns on campus.
