IIT-Bombay’s board of governors has requested that Prof Suryanarayana Doolla go on leave due to scrutiny. This followed the tragic suicide of BTech student Sahil Wakode last Friday. A 10-member committee has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the student’s death. Faculty bodies from various IITs have called for a fair and impartial inquiry into the matter.
